A note from Amanda:

As a credentialed teacher with a Master’s degree in Education from UC Santa Barbara, I bring classroom experience in grades TK–5 along with a strong background in differentiated instruction and social-emotional learning. My approach is rooted in the belief that education is not only about what we teach, but how we teach.

Children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and understood. That’s why I strive to create calm, engaging learning environments where students are encouraged to ask questions, take risks, and grow at their own pace. Whether we are working on reading comprehension, math problem-solving, writing skills, or executive functioning, I integrate mindfulness-based strategies that help students build focus, confidence, and emotional awareness alongside academic skills.

Services Offered:

  • Private 1:1 Tutoring
Individualized support in reading, writing, and mathematics aligned with your child’s current grade level and learning goals.

  • Small Group Tutoring
Collaborative learning in groups of 2–4 students, designed to strengthen academic skills while fostering communication and peer support.

  • Homeschool Pod Instruction
Standards-aligned instruction for small groups of students in grades 3–4, combining academic learning with social-emotional development and mindfulness practices.

My goal is to support the whole child—academically and emotionally—by teaching with presence, patience, and curiosity. When students feel calm and connected, meaningful learning can take place.
